Friday Evening
Part two of a two part series. After many months of putting into practise what had been learnt on part one, we came together again for the second weekend of the L1 course. We all successfully passed the first part of the course by finding our way to the Malvern Hills Outdoor Centre.
No roughing it under canvass this weekend - we all had the luxury of real beds. Lots were drawn to see who would be subjected to Thornton's snores (which, to be truthful, were not intrusive this weekend), bedding was found and after an introductionary classroom session, solace was found in a near by hostelry.

More Social
We had use of a common room for the weekend, where teas, coffees and other such beverages could be drunk. Great fun was had playing table football and 'Killer Skittles'.

And a jolly good time was had by all.

Mike, Course Tutor.
Saturday
A very full program was planned for us. Up at 7, breakfast at 8, classes at 9. We had been led to believe that catering at the centre could be described at best as Basic. But it's worth pointing out that something drastic must have changed because the food was good.

The tutors laid on some interesting skill bases for us:

How to model for catalogues by Nigel.

(AKA Problem Solving) A physical base which covered a number of problems, requiring team work and co-ordination.

A Knotty Problem set by John.

How to tie every knot you'll ever need to know.
Science & Nature by Ann

Just For Fun - Caption Competition. All entries to the Editor please.

Eddie on the wire. Shhhhhh.

Yeuk!
