The campsite.
On Friday evening we were welcomed to Blackwell Court and taken down to the
camping field where we found a pile of tents and equipment.
1st session of the course was to make camp so we'd have somewhere to sleep!

|
Getting to Know You.
After making camp we retired to Blackwell house for chat and as Don had brought along his guitar - a few songs. Not all of them
suitable for a Cubs Camp fire.

More Social
Here's Stephen, squinting at the flash, as we all join in back around the altar fire. Note the
time, we have to be up and awake cooking breakfast at 7!
A camp fire game was played where each person makes up the next line of a story, but suddenly it went dark..........

This is what most of the cooking was done over. Surprisingly hot
 |
Dinner al Fresco!
Each group had to cook a country themed Saturday evening meal. Red
group had chosen Italy, hence those bottles of Vimto that can be seen on
the dinner table.

More Social!
Well, from the looks on the faces you wouldn't believe we were having a good time. Tiredness was creeping up on a few people.....check the
time

Poor Mathew, fell asleep where he sat

Chubby Bunnies.
I kept(?) the honour of 12th Kidderminster by winning the Chubby Bunnies competition! A
game where you take it in turns to push more and more bread into your mouth
- no chewing or swallowing - and have to say "Chubby Bunnies" after each
piece, clearly and distinctly or your out of the game.
And just for those few who may be interested, I won with 2 and half rounds
of thick sliced white

It just remains for me to say, on behalf of all the course members,.....
Thanks to our course tutors:
Nigel (Course Director),
John (multilingual with Italian gestures and Japanese numbers),
Mike (Who never lost his way during the weekend),
Lynn (The Best Red Group Tutor - Ever),
and Ann (our Tour Guide, but without the brolly).
They did a brilliant job, letting us get into, and finding our own way
out of, problems.
Always ready to give advice and guidance.
An intense, but very enjoyable weekend.
